Connect to the free Wi-Fi and curl up with your tablet on the comfortable beds of our standard rooms. Each is fitted with an en-suite bathroom and features modern furnishings while offering the utmost comfort. Rooms are available in twin and double sizes.

Sitting down to the dinner table at the inn is a real treat. We love cooking and prepare our delicious home-cooked dishes with quality and fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Order yourself one of our exclusive real ales to go with your meal. We brew up to six different ales each month, so you can try a different one each time. With 200 years of brewing heritage to the Thwaites name, you can be sure we’ve put all our knowledge and experience into producing a mighty fine ale. If you prefer wine instead, we have an extensive menu. Why not attend one of our wine tasting evenings too, and learn a little about what makes a good wine?

Perhaps you’re thinking of holding a meeting here? Contact us and you can use our meeting room, The Counting Room, which accommodates up to 20 people for a board meeting, or up to 24 people for other meetings. Full day and half day hire are both possible, and if you dine at the inn you can hire the room for free!
